about

Electronica, like most genres, means different things to different people. Some envisage high tech dance grooves, others futuristic exploration, ambient washes or cold clinical beats. Arthur Loves Plastic deals with all that and more, rarely has so broad a term been summed up so neatly by one artist.

Current album Vestibule ranges from the skittering alien fairground music of Wanna Find Love to the throbbing and warped drive of Left Behind and moves between the claustrophobic intensity of Up and the more ambient tones of Emptiness.

It’s nothing less than a mesmerizing weave of mutant EDM and warped pop, hazy ambiance and alien dance music; it is forward thinking yet remembers where it comes from, it is clinical and cool, hot and happening, eclectic and otherworldly. It’s amazing how many musical contradictions you can fit onto one album. It’s even more amazing how brilliantly Arthur Loves Plastic weaves them together so that you just can’t see the joins.
